It’s been ages since I last posted anything, how the world has changed. We know to our cost that the world can change in the blink of an eye and you end up travelling in directions that you could never imagine before.
Plans made for 2020 have been put on hold.
So many friends had said they would sponsor our charity, pubs were fund raising, people were walking and running, businesses were fundraising too, and all of the craft fairs that were planned haven’t happened. We were able to have some charity meetings initially at the local pub, but that’s had to stop for a while.
However, friends have supported us virtually and funds have continued to come in.
We have two defibrillators ready to be placed, and several in the community have been used. It’s great to know people are aware of them, and pleased that they are available in times of need.
We’re hoping to do some online raffles and perhaps a quiz before Christmas to keep the momentum going.
The days after we lost Tom our door was open and the house was rarely empty. The comfort we gained as a family as we grieved together with our friends was immeasurable. That love has been denied to so many people who have lost loved ones during Covid, and I wonder how they have coped.
Let’s hope 2021 is kinder to us all.
Thank you for being there, stay safe and beliketom . Fly high Tom, we miss you so much but your legacy goes on and on.
Poignant words Lucy we can never take for granted what is ours and what we share and give
I have missed being able to hug friends and family
I think your all amazing in your strength to keep Toms legacy going and all the defribllators that are now available to our local communities I take my hat off to you all
Sending much love to you all
Take care and keep safe X xxx ?
